Supporting Individuals & Families Through Therapy & Research
While my private practice officially begins in March 2025, my path toward helping individuals and families started long before that. It was rooted in years of paediatric research and a deep desire to create meaningful change for children, teens, and their loved ones. For over five years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from families—observing, researching, and supporting youth through their growth journeys and the unique challenges of family life.
Through this work, I discovered what I believe to be at the heart of family resilience: the unbreakable bond between parents and children, the quiet strength in the face of hardship, and the power of support and connection. I also witnessed the struggles that often come with it—those late nights, overwhelming uncertainty, and the undeniable need for spaces where families can truly thrive.
Wellness is a Family Journey, Let’s Embark Together
II believe wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it’s not limited to just one stage of life. Every individual—whether a child learning new skills, a teen navigating big emotions, a parent balancing responsibilities, or an adult moving through life’s challenges—deserves a safe and supportive space to grow, heal, and find balance.
In my psychotherapy practice, I work with children, teens, and adults, tailoring therapy to meet your unique needs and goals. Sessions may focus on managing anxiety, building self-esteem, strengthening emotional regulation, or finding clarity during times of transition. For parents of child and teen clients, I also offer private parent consultations to ensure everyone is working toward the same goals in a consistent, supportive way.
Therapy is most effective when it unfolds over time, allowing space for meaningful progress and lasting change. Together, we’ll explore your personal definition of wellness, create a compassionate space to process difficult emotions, and identify practical steps that support growth. If you’re ready to begin a longer-term therapy journey, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and evidence-based strategies, helping you feel heard, validated, and empowered every step of the way.

F&Q
1.How many sessions will I need?
1. How many sessions will I need?
Every person’s journey is unique, and during your complimentary 15-minute consultation, we'll discuss your goals and design a plan that fits your needs. Many clients begin with a structured phase of four weekly sessions, followed by four biweekly sessions. After this eight-session phase, we’ll reassess your progress and adjust the frequency as needed. I have clients I’ve seen for 8 sessions and we complete our work together, and other clients I’ve seen for over a year on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
This approach is grounded in research showing that:
· Higher initial session frequency supports faster improvement. A naturalistic study found that individuals who received more frequent therapy sessions, weekly or even twice-weekly, during the first three months experienced significantly faster and more sustained improvements, whereas lower initial frequency was associated with slower recovery and a more chronic course of mental health symptoms.
· Weekly sessions often yield better early outcomes. Research comparing weekly vs. biweekly therapy found a higher likelihood of early improvement and quicker symptom relief with weekly therapy, though sustained gains occurred over time in both formats.
· Twice-weekly sessions may enhance outcomes in certain treatments. In a randomized controlled trial comparing CBT and IPT delivered once weekly vs. twice weekly for depression, patients receiving twice-weekly sessions in the first 16 sessions experienced greater reduction in depressive symptoms, lower dropout rates, and a faster response.
· Duration matters; average mental health improvement requires time. According to recent research, approximately 15 to 20 therapy sessions are needed for 50% of clients to achieve recovery as measured by self-reported symptoms, indicating that steady commitment over time is often necessary for lasting change.
